Position: Piping Engineer

Location: Kraków, Poland 

Contract type: Full-time permanent 

  

BLOM is a multi-discipilnary team of project managers, engineers (piping, surveyors and data analysts) capable to execute a variety of engineering tasks. BLOM is using 3D scanning and reverse engineering to deliver turnkey solutions to clients with many retrofit projects. 

​

We are expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Piping Engineer. Preferably with either a Naval Architect or a Marine Engineering background to join our team.  

​

Position is at our office at Kraków, Poland.

​

Responsibilities:

​

• Develop concept piping designs onboard vessels and offshore rigs using AVEVA E3D within point cloud environments. Lead the engineering team in close cooperation with our head office in Oslo,

• Produce detailed technical documentation including 3D/2D CAD drawings (layouts, isometrics, P&IDs, reports, MTOs, etc.),

• Perform engineering calculations for piping systems and pressure vessels,

• Integrate instrument detail design into P&IDs,

• Prepare and evaluate technical documentation for pressure equipment,
• Create 3D manufacturing drawings for production use,
• Review and control subcontractor deliverables for piping engineering,
• Conduct risk assessments and technical evaluations,

• Collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and international engineering teams.

Requirements:

​

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field,

• A background in maritime or piping science is a plus,

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with a focus on marine systems,

• Minimum 2 years of experience in marine systems engineering,

• Proficiency in 3D design tools (preferred: AVEVA E3D, Autodesk, CAESAR II, Rhino),
• Experience with alternative fuels or green technologies is a strong advantage,
• Highly motivated with a creative and proactive mindset,
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,

• Strong communication skills; fluency in English, written and spoken,

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines,

• Willingness to travel on-site for project-related activities.

Position: Project Manager

BLOM is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Project Manager with either a Naval Architect or a Marine Engineering background to join our team. 

Position is at our office at Kraków, Poland. 

​

 In addition to PM experience the candidate should have following qualifications: 

  • Marine Engineer or equivalent B.Sc minimum 5 years of experience managing projects,

  • Proven track record of overseeing and budgeting projects,

  • Knowledge of structural and systems design,

  • Knowledge of 3D modelling within digital point cloud environment,

  • Proficient with ACAD, Rhino, Navisworks and or AVEVA products,

  • Good network is a plus,

  • Willing to travel both domestic and international,

  • Team player.

Position: Structural Engineer

​

Location: Kraków, Poland 

Contract type: Full-time permanent

We are expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer. Preferably with either a Naval Architect or a Marine Engineering background to join our team.  

Position is at our office at Kraków, Poland.

Structural Engineer – Offshore & Maritime Projects 

​

Responsibilities:

​

  • Develop concept designs for vessels and offshore rigs using Inventor, Navisworks, and point cloud environments,

  • Create detailed technical documentation: 3D/2D CAD drawings (layouts, manuals, reports, MTOs, etc.),

  • Team player,

  • Conduct hydrodynamic, structural, and stability analyses,

  • Generate fabrication and production drawings, including welding schedules based on 3D models,

  • Perform structural design, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) where applicable,

  • Prepare technical documentation for pressure equipment and carry out evaluations,

  • Review and control subcontracted engineering deliverables,

  • Perform risk assessments and technical evaluations,

  • Collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and engineers worldwide on a daily basis. 

 

Requirements: 

​

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or Naval Architecture,

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in maritime or offshore projects,

  • At least 2 years’ experience in structural analysis and design,

  • Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., Autodesk, ANSYS, Rhino),

  • Solid understanding of classification society rules and maritime regulations,

  • Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills,

  • Excellent communication abilities; fluent in English, both written and spoken,

  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines,

  • Willingness to travel on-site as part of project execution.

Position: Survey Engineer

​

Location: Kraków, Poland 

Contract type: Full-time permanent

We are expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Survey Engineer. Preferably with industry surveying background to join our team.   

Position is at our office at Kraków, Poland.  

​

Survey Engineer – Offshore & Maritime Projects 

​

Responsibilities:

​

  • Conduct measurements, and installation support on drilling platforms, vessels and industrial facilities using laser scanners and total stations, 

  • Process measurement data, 

  • Create 3D models, 

  • Prepare 2D documentation in the following areas: Arrangement drawings, Isometric drawings of pipelines, surveying reports. 

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in surveying (experienced Surveying Technician will be also taken under consideration), 

  • A background in field measurements (Experience in construction sites, offshore, etc. would be an asset), 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role,

  • Strong communication skills; fluency in English, written and spoken, 

  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines, 

  • High availability and readiness for frequent foreign travel.
