Position: Technical Manager

Location: Kraków, Poland 

Contract type: Full-time permanent 

  

BLOM is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead and built our engineering team. Preferably with either a Naval Architect or a Marine Engineering background to join our team. 

Position is at our office at Kraków, Poland.

  Responsibilities 

• Lead the engineering team in close cooperation with our head office in Oslo 

• Teach and train new engineers expected to be hired in the future 

• Be responsible for the quality of the deliverables 
• Creating concept designs onboard vessels and offshore rigs using AVEVA E3D, within a point cloud environment
• Creating technical documentation - 3D / 2D CAD drawings (layouts, isometrics, P&ID, Repoers, material list and others)
• Close cooperation on a daily basis with clients and engineers worldwide

Requirements 

​

• University degree in engineering or related field

• Maritime or piping science degree would be an asset

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Minimum 2 years of experience in marine systems engineering

• Proficiency in AVEVA software is a requirement
• Proficiency in 3D modelling and preparation of intelligent P&ID
• Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk, Bentley, other)
• Knowledge of industry international standards and codes

•Experience with alternative fuels, or other green technologies, is a big advantage

• High motivation

• Creativity along with ability to share the concepts and knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

• Readiness to on-site trips as part of design engineering

• Fluency in English, verbal and written.

Position: Project Manager

​

BLOM is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Project Manager with either a Naval Architect or a Marine Engineering background to join our team. 

Position is at our office at Kraków, Poland. 

​

 In addition to PM experience the candidate should have following qualifications: 

• Marine Engineer or equivalent B.Sc minimum 5 years of experience managing projects 

• Proven track record of overseeing and budgeting projects  

• Knowledge of structural and systems design 

• Knowledge of 3D modelling within digital point cloud environment 

• Proficient with ACAD, Rhino, Navisworks and or AVEVA products 

• Good network is a plus 

• Willing to travel both domestic and international 

• Team player
